I first Tara and John after they had just gotten engaged. They stopped into Anthropologie to purchase bridesmaids gifts and I let them know I was a coordinator. When they reached out a few months later, I was overjoyed at the opportunity to come alongside them for their special day!
Tara and John are an exceptionally cool couple. They both work in creative fields (John, Johnny Fly and Tara, Valley Fly Boutique) among a host of other talents including modeling, singing, photography, graphic design and more. They are a delight to be around, and one of those couples that inspires you.
In two words I would describe Tara and John's wedding as meaningful and fun. Each detail was carefully thought through, their vendor team was comprised of many friends and they had quite the dancing crowd at the reception led by Emerald Empire Band!
Tara and John's creativity was woven all throughout the wedding. From the cascading florals, the dessert and coffee bar, the beautifully designed programs and a gorgeously styled ceremony- it was a beautiful modern wedding. I would say, the perfect depiction of the couple's style.
Perhaps my favorite part of the evening was during Tara's father's toast where he surprised her by playing a recording of Mama's song that Tara had done a few years ago. Tara's voice was flawless and the song ended in a family hug with not a dry eye in the house. The surprises weren't over, however, as Tara had also recorded a song for her and her dad's first dance. Again- no dry eyes.
Congratulations Tara and John!
