These guys have a special place in my heart. As I mentioned before on KRW, I met Tim through being on lead team of our church's Spring Break mission trip to New Orleans in 2014. Lindsay was also a member of Midtown Fellowship, and on the trip back from Nola she wrote on one of the vans asking him to ADPi formal. When our lead team went out to dinner back in Columbia that night, Tim was sure he would not be dating anyone before he left for Germany that summer. But God had different plans.
After a great formal and a night spent talking by the river, Tim and Lindsay knew that something was different about the other.
A few weeks later, they started dating and by the middle of the summer decided it was the love they wanted forever. God redirected Tim from Germany to seminary in Louisville, Kentucky- where Lindsay's family lives. Funny how He works these things out.
As Lindsay finished her senior year at USC, I got the privilege of knowing her better through our Greek Impact Leadership bible study. She is the kind of person you want to get to know more as soon as you meet- with kind eyes, a heart at rest and a contagious laugh.
The day was full of many laughs from the exuberant bridal party and bubbly family members- including Tim's mom and dad dancing their way back down the aisle!
They served slushies in honor of 7/11 which was a welcome way to cool off from the scorching July heat.
At the rehearsal dinner, many described Lindsay as the perfect compliment to Tim. They make each other unbelievably happy and it is the biggest joy to witness. You can't help but smile when you're with them, and it's wonderful watching two paths the Lord so specifically created being woven together into one.
The two are now living in Louisville, Kentucky working on staff with Sojourn Community Church to start a Greek Ministry at the University of Louisville. They will be working with fraternities and sororities, leading bible studies, discipling students, and overseeing Sojourn College's monthly events team. You can read more about their ministry here!
It was a joy being a part of your special day. You two are true treasures and I know God will use you in huge ways for His kingdom. Thank you for your constant inspiration and joy that touches everyone you meet! Congratulations Lindsay and Tim!
