I first Tara and John after they had just gotten engaged. They stopped into Anthropologie to purchase bridesmaids gifts and I let them know I was a coordinator. When they reached out a few months later, I was overjoyed at the opportunity to come alongside them for their special day!Read More
What a year it has been! Quite a busy year here in wedding world- with memory upon memory left to think fondly upon. It's been exciting getting to know more of the Charlotte wedding industry- meeting new vendors, building relationships with my couples and exploring new venues. Much has happened, but here are some of the highlights:
The most weddings/year yet for Kelly Renee Weddings. From Columbia to Charlotte to all the small towns in between!
Big Fake Wedding.
KRW participated in its first bridal show- The Big Fake Wedding- which is a national alternative bridal show that puts on a "fake" wedding where the couple renews their vows. I was able to be the Day-Of Coordinator for the Big Fake Wedding: Charlotte and would highly recommend it to anyone interested!
My year would not have been possible without the help of these four wonderful humans throughout the year- Diana, Marie, Kylie and Paige. Special shout out to my Fall Assistant, Diana (dianapalka.com), who was a huge help throughout fall wedding seasons between taking over the blog and being a great right hand!
2016 was one for the books with new projects. In addition to the first bridal show, there was the first KRW DIY Decor How-to, first publication + Acknowledgment on Ruffled Blog, joining the honeybook + Rising Tide Communities and giving the website a total refresh through transitioning to squarespace (Nerd moment but squarespace is the best).
So what's next?
With 2016 wrapped up, planning for 2017 is already in full swing! Be sure to check back to the blog early in the new year for posts featuring some of this year's fall weddings (I can't wait to release them!) and a few surprise guest bloggers! Each day is different so it is exciting to think what this year may hold.
Our 2017 wedding slots are filling up fast so if you have a friend who is engaged, or are newly engaged yourself, be sure to fill out a contact form soon.
Many thanks to all of the family, vendors, and couples who made 2016 so wonderful!
Maureen's wedding was completely dreamt up by her- the venue would be sweetly personal: the groom's parent's property in a small North Carolina town. The ceremony was held in front of the barn and the reception on the back lawn.Read More
